Tissues can be coagulated with the supply of radiofrequency energy from electric cautery, which is connected for monitoring the continuous resistance and temperature of tissues.Intended useThis instrument through the cable connected to the radiofrequency ablation treatment system is intended for the coagulation oftumor in liver, lung and thyroid, the ablation treatment of benign thyroid nodules(diameter of 2 cm or more, solid > 80%, progressive increase. symptoms of oppression, influence hairdressing and psychological demand), the ablation treatment of pulmonary malignant tumor, and the clinical operation standards should be referred for the above indications during patients selection and treatment.Conponents:This needle electrode mainly consists of handle, needle, insulation film, needle tube, inflow tubing, outflow tubing.Notice:Users should read all the instructions before operation, and especially the guidance provided with product should be carefully read. This needle electrode is designed to be used by connecting with RF Ablation Treatment System from STARmed. If this guidance is not properly followed, electric or heat damage can be caused and the equipment might not work normally.Indication ofRF ablation in liver:1. Alternate treatment of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA), especially for nodule or block liver cancerpattern, can enhance the complete dead rate of tumor greatly, reduce the liver damage caused by too many TACE.2. Tumor local recurrence after surgery.3. Best results can be achieved for tumor size between 3 - 4cm. If tumor size beyond 5cm, RFA should be performed under surgical intervention.4. Tumor number in liver should be less than 4.5. Patients for which surgery is not proper to be performed due to liver dysfunction.Indication ofRF ablation in lung:1. Primary lung solid tumor, which is not proper to be treated by surgery.2. Tumors with no obvious effect by chemotherapy.3. Tumor size less than 10cm.4. metastatic lung tumor (total quantity less than 5), primary tumor can be controlled, and only hemi-lung can be treated every time.Indication ofRF ablation in thyroid:1. Benign nodules equal or beyond 2cm and solid tissue beyond 80%.2. Progressive increase with compression symptoms.3. The benign nodules of thyroid to influence cosmetology and psychology.
